After a busy weekend of games, Yazoo City High School entered the new week with a pair of wins and losses against Canton and Humphreys County in its rearview mirror.
The Indians defeated Canton 38-33 and Humphreys County 70-42. The Lady Indians, however, fell to Canton 40-25 and Humphreys County 37-36.
On Saturday against Humphreys County, the Indians came out of the gates on fire, outscoring Humphreys 13-2 in the first quarter to set the tone for the remainder of the game.
