Gateway Solutions spreads cheer
Special to The Herald
Gateway Solutions Inc. (GSI) coordinated a Christmas Program at the Oasis Health and Rehabilitation Center on December 23, 2011.
The program featured students from the Yazoo City and Yazoo County High Schools.
Special Christmas instrumental selections were provided by the Yazoo City High School Band ensemble under the direction of Mr. Aaron Thompson. The Water Grove A.M.E. Church of Benton provided moving Gospel selections. Students from Yazoo County and Yazoo City High schools sang inspirational solos.
The program was started with a rousing prayer provided by Rev. Curtis L. Strong.
This is the second Christmas program sponsored by GSI at Oasis.
Following the Oasis Christmas Program, participants went to the Manor House to provide inspirational music and singing while individuals were served lunch.
Following the Manor House program, some participants surprised 99 year-old Mrs. Leola Dillard with a personal Christmas program at her home in honor of her spirit of giving back to the community.
GSI strives to give youth a platform to share their talents while giving back to their community.
