The Benton Garden Club met on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Benton Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
The meeting was called to order by the club president, Gigi Mathews. A brief business session was held to discuss the success of the club bake sale that was held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.   Our visitors were welcomed and invited to join us again.
Each one had been requested to bring a plant from their yard if possible for exchange at the conclusion of the Christmas celebration, as well as hors d'oeuvres to contribute to the brunch.
The attractively decorated table was laden with Christmas goodies for all to enjoy.   We were invited to join the hostesses in an adjoining room which had been prepared with white table linens adorned with red poinsettias, festive candles and Christmas music.
At the conclusion a plant exchange was held and door prizes were awarded.
