JACKSON - The Lady Panthers of Yazoo County got back to an even .500 overall record Wednesday afternoon with a 45-40 victory against McLaurin at the Jackson Prep Holiday Classic.
While the final score is favorable to the Lady Panthers, the game didn’t start in their favor.
McLaurin opened the game with 15 points in the first quarter and 12 in the second to take a 27-21 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, however, things began to change. The Lady Panthers came out of halftime on fire, scoring 15 points, all the while holding McLaurin to just five, taking the lead 36-32.
