Mr. and Mrs. Floyd William “Jet” Griffin Jr. of Yazoo City announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauryn Hayze Griffin to Mr. Charles Errington Crawford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward “Rusty” Crawford III of Isola.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Kathleen Griffin and the late Mr. Floyd William Griffin of Yazoo City and Mrs. Annette Wells and the late Mr. Vernon Wells of Cleveland.
Miss Griffin is a 2006 graduate of Manchester Academy and attended the University of Mississippi. She is currently employed at Manchester Academy in Yazoo City.
The prospective bride-groom is the grandson of Mrs. Karen Crawford of Isola and Carrollton and the late Mr. Charles Edward Crawford Jr. of Isola and Mrs. Sally Carson and the late Mr. Winston Herbert Carson of Winona. He is the great-grandson of Mrs. Ruby McCrary of McCarley.
Mr. Crawford is a 2004 graduate of Humphreys Academy and a 2008 graduate of Delta State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is currently employed at Tower Loan in Indianola.
The couple will exchange vows December 31, 2011 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fair Hope, Ala.
