Dangerous area of 15th Street to be addressed

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

City leaders agree that  a heavily traveled street through a main artery in the city has to be repaired to ensure safety among drivers.
Many citizens have voiced concerns about the condition of 15th Street. It has recently been the site of a few accidents with its sudden dips in the road.
A firetruck flipped over along the street several months ago. A police car crashed into an adjacent ditch on its way to a call at Yazoo City High School. And many citizens said they have almost wrecked on the dangerous road.
Ward 4 Alderman Aubry Brent Jr. sparked the discussion during the Board of Mayor and Aldermen during its open meeting. After he sponsored a town hall meeting recently, Brent was approached by several residents who would like to see the street repaired. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
