Benton Academy turned a new page in the athletic department with the recent hiring of Mike Swindle as the new girls basketball coach, cross country coach and science teacher.
Swindle, 51, who was hired from Clinton Christian, brings over 15 years of coaching experience in numerous sports to the Raiders staff as well as 12 years of teaching.
“He can be an asset in many areas, not just in coaching,” Secondary Principal Cindy Shipp said. “Academics come before all, and a coach that can teach science is a great combination.”
