Suspect locks himself in home with gun

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

A suspect who resisted arrest after he locked himself in his home with a gun remains behind bars.
Imario Wright, who was wanted on another misdemeanor warrant, was charged with failure to comply.
Rumors began circulating that Wright and authorities were involved in a stand off at a local apartment complex Tuesday night. But Chief Eric Snow said there were no shots fired nor any hostage situation.
Snow said dispatchers received a call concerning a fight at Genesis Court Apartments. Once officers arrived at the scene, a few witnesses came forward with information about Wright, who was allegedly involved in the altercation.
“Witnesses stated that Wright ran into his apartment, displaying a gun and then closing the door,” Snow said. “We were also told there were small kids and his girlfriend in the apartment with him.”
