Judge candidate wants precinct votes thrown out

WarringtonWarringtonNeelyNeelyBy JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

Incumbent Benny “Kay” Warrington said he has discovered enough evidence of irregularities at one voting precinct  that all the ballots casted there should be thrown out.
Warrington filed a petition   this week to contest the general election involving the justice court judge seat for the southern district. The election was certified earlier this month with challenger Danny Neely winning the seat by a margin of one vote.
Warrington, who has held the judge position since 2003, is also requesting that Neely not be sworn in until his petition can be heard by the circuit court.
