Justice Court judge candidate files petition

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

Incumbent Bennie “Kay” Warrington filed a petition this week to contest the general election.
Ballot boxes for the southern district justice court position were reviewed last week. Circuit Clerk Susie Bradshaw received Warrington’s petition Monday afternoon.
Warrington has claimed that many voters were not allowed to vote for the seat in the southern district.
Danny Neely defeated Warrington by a single vote earlier this month.  Neely totaled 1,590 votes to Warrington’s 1,589.
No further information was available as of press time.
