City police car repossessed

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

City leaders held an emergency meeting this week after a police car was repossessed by the dealership.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen were confused as to how the repossession occurred and quickly examined what they will have to do in the city clerk’s office to prevent something like this happening again.
“The problem we are having in the city clerk’s office will be straightened out,” said Mayor McArthur Straughter, a couple of hours after the special meeting. “We have things being put in place so that this doesn’t happen again.”
