JEAN BANCHETTI
Jean Bunner Banchetti, 74, of Leland, died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Greenwood-Leflore Medical Center in Greenwood.
Funeral services are today at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Leland. Burial will follow at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery in Stoneville.
Mrs. Banchetti was born in Yazoo City and graduated from Yazoo City High School and Delta State University. She taught at the Arcola Public School, St. Joe’s Junior High School and Deer Creek School for over 45 years before retiring in 2000. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church in Leland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Banchetti.
Survivors include two daughters, Vickie B. Fulcher of Yazoo City and Cindy B. McDonald of Leland; son, John Michael Banchetti of Leland; sister, Barbara B. Watkins of Denton, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
