Houses coming to Pierce St.

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

A neglected street in Yazoo City is on its way back to life thanks to an alderman.
Ward 1 Alderman Charles “Mickey” O’Reilly has been working with the Buford Foundation to construct houses on Pierce Street, adjacent to Filmore Street.
“It has never been abandoned, but it is neglected,” he said. “There were a few houses there...but they have been torn down.”
