Brent calls for dog ordinance

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

One alderman knows that banning a specific breed of dog would probably never happen in Yazoo City, but he would like to see some regulations in place.
Ward 4 Alderman Aubry Brent Jr. sparked the discussion of pit bulls again at the open meeting of the Board of Mayor and Alderman Monday afternoon.
Brent began the discussion by referring to a recent accident on Highway 3 and Gordon Avenue that killed a high school student.
“There is a petition going around right now to get a light there after the fact,” Brent said. “My point is we are being reactive rather than being proactive.”  -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
