Call him “Sheriff Sheriff”

Incumbent Yazoo County Sheriff Thomas Vaughan was defeated Tuesday by Jacob Sheriff.
Sheriff, who ran as a Democrat, sealed the bid with 4,344 votes to Vaughan’s 3,592. Independent candidate for sheriff, William Gilmore received 556 votes.
Danny Neely defeated incumbent Justice Court Judge Bennie “Kay” Warrington by a single vote in the Southern District. Warrington said he is challenging the election. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
