Details revealed on superintendent’s dismissal

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

City school board members reached an agreement with Shannon Sudbury to pay him $75,000 to walk away from his job as district superintendent.
“It was an early release from all parties,” said Rev. Robert Green, school board president.
The contract settlement was made in connection to Sudbury’s departure from the Yazoo City Municipal School District, which was announced last week.
The city school board released a statement to The Yazoo Herald this week concerning Sudbury’s departure.
