A man who escaped from the old Yazoo County Jail in 2006 has been captured in California.
James Earl “Leather Face” Collum was arrested this week in Oakland, Calif. Sheriff Thomas Vaughan said he is working to get Collum extradited to Yazoo County.
“He’s one of those guys who climbed out of the top of the old jail,” Vaughan said. “He’s been on the run for several years now, but felony warrants never go away.”
