The Benton Garden Club met Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Benton Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.  
Hostesses were Linda Cobb and Donna Luby.
The serving table was adorned with a beautiful pumpkin arrangement which contained bronze and lime mums. Delicious breakfast casseroles were served for the morning brunch, after which the guest speaker Miriam Jabour, a Master Gardner, from Vicksburg, spoke on “Old Garden Plants.”
Mrs. Jabour handed out copies of a pamphlet from Peterson Henderson & Company dated 1909, which provided the names of many original older seeds and plants.
