Indians blown out at home 35-0

Yazoo City’s Samuel Campbell brings down Starkville quarterback Gabe Miles during last Friday night’s 35-0 district loss. Yazoo City’s Samuel Campbell brings down Starkville quarterback Gabe Miles during last Friday night’s 35-0 district loss. By BRYAN DAVIS

On October 14, the Yazoo City Indians (6-3; 1-2) secured something they failed to do a year ago.
With the Indians’ 43-21 win over the Lanier Bulldogs, the Indians guaranteed themselves a winning 2011 campaign. The worst the Indians can do is finish 6-5 in the regular season, and with two weeks left to go in the season, they have a shot at 8-3 and a playoff berth.
If they are going to accomplish this, the Indians are going to have to put together a pair of performances that will be in stark contrast to their play against the Starkville Yellowjackets this past Friday night.
