Traffic stop leads to drug arrests

BartonBartonBy JASON PATTERSON
Editor & Publisher

A pair of Vaughan men are charged with possession of crack cocaine after a routine traffic stop revealed the driver was wanted by police.
Sheriff Thomas Vaughan said deputy James Shiers stopped a vehicle driven by Cleotice “Baby” Barton, 32, of 11399 Vaughan Road, Thursday after noticing Barton wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
“While the deputy was approaching the car, he saw the passenger reach under the seat,” Vaughan said.
