Board warns about spending

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

A contracted employee with the city will be warned for the third time about spending money without approval.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen were shocked to discover another bill from Johnny Staples on work at the Yazoo Community Complex that had not been approved.
Staples is a contracted employee with the city and is serving as director of the complex at the former junior high school. Although he has a budget, he has failed to bring purchase orders and other necessary forms for approval from the board.
