Fourth and fifth grade students of Manchester Academy recently attended “Make a Splash with Project Wet” held at the Museum of Natural Science in Jackson.
It is the largest nationwide day of water education in the world.
Water festivals consist of multiple structured learning stations where students actively engage in hands-on water activities and investigations. Subjects that are addressed include the water cycle, water conservation, wetlands, pollution, weather soils and water management.
The festivals have been held in all 50 states. The students all received pizza lunch and a gift bag.
Chris Oliver, Lindy Mosley and Judy Morrissey accompanied their students.
