Year of the running back

Taylor Mitchell Sports EditorTaylor Mitchell Sports EditorSure, ESPN has declared 2011 to be the year of the quarterback. However, the folks in Bristol, Conn. are wrong. At least when it comes to Yazoo County football teams.
Rather than having a star quarterback, Benton, Manchester, Yazoo City and Yazoo County boast running backs who carry a majority of the offensive workload. (I do realize Dazmon Wright is a quarterback for the Indians, but he is even more dangerous running the ball.)
Over at Manchester, they not only have one running back, but five who are dangerous with the ball in their hands. Perhaps the most dangerous of them all is senior Demarcus Mahone, who runs the ball in similar fashion as Barry Sanders. He might not break many tackles, but defenders have to catch him first (easier said than done).
