Yazoo County natives will be participating in the 2011 Jones County Junior College Homecoming ceremonies.
Marlee Mood has been elected a freshman maid. She will be escorted by Hayden White. Jordy White will be escorting sophomore maid Kelli Durr.
All three are graduates of Benton Academy.
Mood is a member of the Student Government Association and college yearbook staff.  
In high school at Benton Academy she was involved in Spanish Club, Science Club, varsity cheerleading, cross country track and editor of the yearbook.  
Her honors include class vice president, ABC Award winner, selected a junior and senior year beauty, honors graduate and a Junior Ambassador for the city of Madison.
Her future plans include graduating from Mississippi State with her master’s in business.
Marlee’s parents are Tim and Lynn Mood.
Mood’s escort is Hayden White from Benton.  The pharmacy major is busy at Jones as a member of PTK and Mu Alpha Theta.  
In high school, Hayden was the class salutatorian and earned the highest GPA average award.  His future plans include continuing his pharmacy education and working with missions.
Hayden’s parents are Gene and Eden White.
Jordy White of Benton is  a pre-med major.  His activities and honors at Jones include Jones Ambassador, PTK officer, SGA member, Science Club member, a Charles Pickering Honors College student, President’s List honor roll, and earning the Letter “J” Award.   In high school Jordy was busy playing football, basketball, baseball, track, and earning South State Championships in the 110 meter and 300 meter hurdles.  He was also a member of the science club, math club, National Honors Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and served as Student Council President, class officer and valedictorian. His honors include Wendy’s High School Heisman and the Mr. Benton Academy award. Jordy’s plans include going to Mississippi College and becoming a medical missionary after medical school.  
Jeff and Carla White are Jordy’s parents.
