The Yazoo Chapter of the Mississippi State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently attended the celebration of the Chakchiuma Chapter’s 100th anniversary. Attending the event, pictured from left, were JoAnne G. Collins, Yazoo Chapter Regent; Janet Looney Whittington, MSSDAR State Regent; and Sue Patterson, Yazoo Chapter Good Citizenship Chairman. The event was held at the Cottonlandia Museum in Greenwood on Oct. 2. Interesting displays showed the 1911 chapter, a 1917 DAR magazine and articles with pictures of past activities.
