All season the Lady Maverick soccer team dominated opposing teams, en route to a division championship and 14-2 record.
However, the 2011 season came to a screeching halt last Thursday when the defending state champions, Laurel Christian, came to Manchester and won the semi final game 4-0.
“Depression has started to set in,” head coach Michael Morris said. “4-0 isn’t indicative of the game. We had an own goal early to start the game and two easy goals after that. We had our chances in front of the goal and we didn’t finish. That’s the name of the game.”
