Yazoo County survived a third quarter comeback and scored twice in the final stanza to secure a 34-20 homecoming victory over Amanda Elzy Friday.
Michael Collum got the Panthers off to an early 7-0 lead with the first touchdown of the night with 5:33 to go in the first quarter. It was his first of three rushing touchdowns on the night. Collum would also complete a touchdown pass.
Amanda Elzy responded with a promising drive that began with a pair of first downs, but Devontae White grabbed an interception to steal the momentum.
Yazoo County carried the 7-0 lead into the second quarter, and Tremaine Baldwin quickly helped expand the lead with a 13-yard touchdown run.-------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
