Four Seasons Garden Club and Lintonia Garden Club were well represented at the River Road District Fall Awards Meeting on Sept. 8.
The meeting was held at Center Terrace Baptist Church, hosted by the Canton Garden Club. There were 88 members present.
The call to order was given by Joyce Logue, district director. There were two members from Four Seasons and seven members from Lintonia.
Four Seasons members included Jean Santmyer and Linda McDonald.
Lintonia members included Elouise Upchurch, Eloise Epperson, Judy Sanford, Dot Meeks, Louise Dixon, Ruby Gilliam and Lois Ward.
Lintonia Garden Club won the following awards: environmental awareness, civic development/improvement, Lanoux Youth Nature Camp, Governor’s Mansion Landscapre fund, and an honor roll club.
Four Seasons won the following awards: horticulture, environmental awareness and are a Blue Ribbon Club.
The spring meeting will be May 31, 2012 in Rolling Fork.
