City to fix problems at Glenwood Cemetery

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

There could be some changes at Glenwood Cemetery in the near future with   the possibility of Stacey Trotter, cemetery sexton, being moved to another city department.
The local cemetery has been a hot topic around Yazoo with complaints of tall grass and unkempt gravesites. The main complaint was the fact that Trotter remained in his position, preventing state inmate labor to return.
Mayor McArthur Straughter  and Ward 2 Alderman Dr. Jack Varner have pushed for Trotter to be transferred to another department, but they couldn’t get the majority support from the remainder of the board.-------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
