There was no stopping the Neshoba Central Wildcats in the first half of Friday night’s district action at Yazoo City (4-1, 0-1), but the Indians showed great resiliency in the second half.
Unfortunately for the home team, Yazoo City’s third and fourth quarter efforts would fall short in a 35-21 loss to open up district play.
Things were completely silent on the offense for the Indians in the first half, as the Rockets shut Dazmon Wright and the offense down for the first two quarters.
On the other side of the ball, Neshoba powered through the Indian defensive line for four first-half touchdowns.
