The end is near for problem property

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

When the city’s new excavator arrives, one abandoned house that has caused many problems for its surrounding neighbors will be coming down.
The house, located at 513 S. Washington St., was up for discussion once again at the Board of Mayor and Aldermen open meeting Monday afternoon.
Danny Neely, code enforcement officer, told the board that all the necessary paperwork and notifications were complete, adding that it was time to demolish the eyesore.
The house has been at the table several times before. Neighbors have been complaining about the abandoned home for over a year now. Open to the elements, the home has also allowed vagrants to frequently inhabit it.-------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
