A 51-year-old Yazoo County man has been charged with rape.
Sheriff Thomas Vaughan said Dennis Harkins, of 1452 Old Highway 16, was arrested after the alleged victim reported that she was raped while visiting his home.
“Further investigation led us to believe that the victim had in fact been raped, Vaughan said. “There was also evidence that the suspect had been using drugs.”
