Man wants city to annex Shady Lane

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

One Yazoo City resident is ready for the city to annex the Shady Lane area in an effort to curtail crime.
Sir Johnathan White appeared before the Board of Mayor and Aldermen during its open meeting Monday to talk about annexation and the Shady Lane area.
White, who lives in another neighborhood, said he is concerned about the area because of the young people exposed to crime and other harmful elements. He said his own nephew witnessed a gun being pulled on someone during an argument. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
