Miss Parker to wed Brewer
Mr. and Mrs. David Roper Parker of Yazoo City announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Parker, to Joshua Michael Brewer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Wayne Brewer of Dallas, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Andrew Kendall of Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands.
Ms. Parker is the granddaughter of Mrs. J.W. Stoner, the late J. W. Stoner, the late Lige R. Parker of Yazoo City, and the late Jean Barton Parker of Grenada, Mississippi. Mr. Brewer is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Kendall of Troy, Tennessee, Mrs. Lilly Brewer of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Sylvie Issacs, and the late Renny Issacs of South Charleston, West Virginia
Rachel is a graduate of Manchester Academy, Mississippi State University, and Paul Mitchell The School Memphis.
While at Mississippi State University, she was a member of the MSU Fashion Board, MSU Diamond Girl Squad, and Phi Mu Sorority where she served as Recruitment Chairman. She received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from MSU. Rachel earned her cosmetology license from Paul Mitchell The School Memphis, where she was selected as student body Vice President. Ms. Parker is currently employed as a stylist at Salon 1550 in Cordova, Tennessee and an independent stylist in Yazoo City.
Josh is a graduate of Obion County Central High School and the University of Memphis where he received a Bachelors of Business Management degree. He is currently employed as a sales representative for Southwestern Beverage Distribution in Memphis, Tennessee.
Wedding vows will be exchanged at 7:00 pm on October 1, 2011, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Yazoo City, with a reception following at the Yazoo City Country Club.
