When two good teams square off against one another, the winning team is, generally, the one who takes advantage of scoring opportunities and their opponent’s mistakes.
Wednesday afternoon, the Manchester Academy soccer team failed to take advantage of several scoring opportunities against Indianola Academy. On the flip side, the Lady Colonels converted their best scoring chance into the game’s only goal in a 1-0 victory that gave the Lady Mavs their second loss in district play.
“We had chances too, but didn’t convert them. That’s soccer,” Manchester head coach Mike Morris said.-------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
