Manchester Academy came into Friday’s home match up with Sylva Bay looking to rid of the sour taste in their mouth from last week’s loss to Tri-County. The Mavericks would accomplish that feat 28-26, but not before a few flashbacks.
Midway through the fourth quarter Manchester senior Demarcus Mahone took the hand off from quarterback Will Stonestreet and raced 61 yards for a touchdown, but a penalty flag took back the six points.
