SALLIE FOSTER

Sallie Foster, 77, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 at River Region Hospital.
Funeral services were Friday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Harris officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Foster was born June 17, 1934 in Yazoo County to John Willie Foster and Annie Hood Foster. She was a retired production worker for Southern Bag and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Foster; a grandson, Leighton Dillard; a brother, William Porter; and a sister, Bea Harrell.
Survivors include a son, Andy Burt of Bovina; two daughters, Glenda Warrington of Bentonia and Mary Ann Creel of Mobile, Ala.; a sister, Charlene Burt of Grenada; nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Troy Price, Chris Dillard, Shelby Porter, Mickie Renfroe, Johnny Harrell, Jeffery Harrell and Wesley Campbell.

CATHRINE CLARK-KETCHSON

Cathrine Clark-Ketchson, 52, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011.
Funeral services were Saturday at Calvary M.B. Church with Rev. RaSean O’Thomas officiating. Burial followed at Cypress Garden Cemetery under the direction of Scott Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ketchson was born Oct. 28, 1958 to the late Mary Clark and Roosevelt Robinson. She attended Yazoo City High School and was a member of Calvary M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Nathaniel Davis III and Joe Lee Davis; and a sister, Mary Francis Davis.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Ketchson; daughter, Demetria Clark; adopted daughter, Lisa Martin; six siblings, Mae W. Davis, Angelean Alexander (George), Gloria Chavez (Salvader), Glenda M. Love (Faye James), Melvin Clark and James Clark; 10 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Demarcus Clark, Mario Davis, Michael Davis, De’Andre Green and James Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers were Trudy Greenwood, Moses Clark, Robert Fowler, Edward Davis and Robert Tyler.

JERRY DEAN PARKER

Jerry Dean Parker, 50, died Sunday Aug. 21, 2011.
Funeral services were Saturday at the L.T. Miller Community Center with Rev. Benard Luckett officiating. Burial followed at Cypress Garden Cemetery under the direction of Century Funeral Home.
Ms. Parker was born June 6, 1961 to Fannie B. Parker and the late J.W. Parker. She was the third of 11 children and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Fannie Parker; a son, Donyale Parker; daughter, Deneice Parker; six brothers, Lee Joseph of San Diego, John Parker, Kenneth Parker, Donald Parker, Dale Parker and Ronnie Parker; four sisters, Dorothy Parker, Zelda Parker, Selassie Parker and Pilar Parker, all of Yazoo City; grandson, Kendrick “Tigga” Simmons; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Onassis B. Parker, Desi Parker, Naaji Parker, Anthony Miller, Nicki Parker and Zachery Littleton.
Honorary pallbearers were Donyale C. Parker, John Parker, Donald Parker, Ronnie Parker, Lee Joseph Parker, Kenneth Parker and Dale Parker.

FRANCES POORE

Frances Elizabeth Poore, 83, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2011 at home.
Funeral services are today at 9 a.m. at Center Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Glenn Warrington officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Poore was born March 9, 1928 in Yazoo County to Septha and Lilie Porter Roberts. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon L. Poore.
Survivors include her sons, Billy L. Poore of Yazoo City and Robert F. Poore of Flora; a brother, Sammy Roberts of Syracuse, N.Y.; sister, Bobbie Jean Shey of Pensacola, Fla.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
