The Yazoo County Convention and Visitors Bureau will host the first annual Fire & Feast BBQ Festival at the Yazoo County Fairgrounds on Sept. 9.
The event is a Memphis Barbeque Network event and will feature three BBQ competitions: a Memphis Barbecue Network (MBN) sanctioned Pro competition, a Backyard Division, and most significantly, a Fire House Division.
This event will allow professional and amateur cook teams the opportunity to compete in three different categories for $19,000 in cash prizes. Additional prizes are also awarded in each division.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Mississippi Firefighters Memorial Burn Association. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
