JOHN ALDRIDGE

John Phillip “B.A.” Aldridge, 54, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011 at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, La.
Funeral services were Tuesday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Bryant officiating.  Burial followed at Central-Holmes Cemetery.
Mr. Aldridge was born March 19, 1957 in Sunflower County to Derle and Betty Love Carver Aldridge. He was a welder and a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Derle Aldridge.
Survivors include his wife, Trish Aldridge of Bentonia; daughter, Kayla Aldridge of Bentonia; mother, Betty C. Harris of Brandon; stepfather, Garnett Harris of Brandon;  brother, Cliff Aldridge of Carroll County; and two sisters, Robin Clark of Texarkana, Texas and Allyson Autry of Yazoo City.
Serving as pallbearers were Andy Evilsizor, Barry Gilliland, Roger Hearst, Bryan Thomas, Cecil Cantrell, Kirk Carver, Ty McCullough, Quint Carver, Bill Fitzgerald and Brian Clark.

HARRY ESTES

Harry Ward Estes, 79, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Funeral services were Friday at Idlewild Presbyterian Church in Memphis.
Mr. Ward was born Feb. 29, 1932 in Memphis to Harry Wilson and Lois Ward Estes. He as a U.S. Army veteran who served in Germany, an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. After attending Vanderbilt Divinity School and Louisville Seminary, he worked with young people through Young Life at Silver Cliff and Star Ranch in Colorado. For over 20 years he was the head of the film editing department at Motion Picture Lab in Memphis.
Survivors include his special friend of 40 years, Suzanne Hopper; sister, Lois Estes Ruleman (Dr. Allan); many cousins in Yazoo City; and a host of other relatives and friends.
