They were searching for a truck thief from the city when officers discovered some marijuana plants.
The Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department joined pursuit of a suspect who had stolen a truck from the 49 Junction parking lot Saturday morning as he left the city limits.
Sheriff Thomas Vaughan said a deputy was driving down Sunny Lane Road when he spotted the suspect headed in the opposite direction.
