Rubbish pit back in operation

By VERNON SIKES
For the Herald

After more than one month of not having anywhere to dump city residents’ rubbish, the rubbish pit on Old Highway 3 is back open.
That was the word Monday from John Simmons, owner of Yazoo Enterprises Inc., which operates the rubbish site.
Accordng to Simmons, operations at the site were to have resumed Wednesday after having received a clean bill of the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ). -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
