Rev. Pamela Cameron’s journey into the ministry began at the same place her grandfather made history.
Her grandfather was the first camp director at Camp Wesley Pines, a Methodist retreat and camp facility in Gallman. And it was at that same camp that she first became a camp counselor.
Yazoo City is now home for Cameron as she joins First United Methodist Church as its new associate pastor and youth minister.
The 34-year-old arrived in the community in June and is starting to leave her mark on the local church as she continues her own personal journey with her ministry.
“I’m doing what I am supposed to be doing,” she said. “I am meant to be here.” -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
