Registrar releases certification numbers

By VERNON SIKES
For the Herald
Yazoo County Circuit Clerk Susie Bradshaw reported Monday that the Aug. 2 Democratic and Republican primary election has been certified.
Registered voters who declared Democrat in last week’s voting and individuals who did not vote at all are eligible to vote in the Aug. 23 second primary election.
On the ballot will be three races: circuit clerk, district 1 supervisor and northern district constable.
Individuals who declared Republican will likely be voting on a sole post: the state treasurer’s race. Unofficially, Lynn Fitch, who took 1041 Yazoo County votes last week, will face Lee Yancy, who garnered 218 votes. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
