GLYN PITTMAN

Glyn Doyle Pittman, 70, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at home.
Funeral services were Thursday at Parkview Church of God with Rev. Ken Lynch officiating. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mr.  Pittman was born on Jan. 19, 1941 in Foxworth to Ross Pittman and Minnie Davis Pittman. He attended school in Foxworth, and graduated from Columbia High School. He received his B.S. degree in Business from Mississippi College and served as Sgt. in the Marine Corps Reserve. He was retired from Mississippi Chemical Corporation after a long career there.  
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his dear wife, the love of his life, Ann Coleman Pittman; his daughters Christy Pittman Cader (Mark) and Cindy Pittman Shell (Tony); his grandchildren Tyler Shell, Sydney Shell, Dillon Cader and Ann Stewart Cader; his brother and sister-in-law Ross LaRue Pittman (Beth); cousins; several nieces and nephews and many friends.  
Glyn loved the Lord and was a Godly man who happily enjoyed serving in Parkview Church of God.  He adored his family and leaves lots of wonderful memories they will cherish forever.  He was a gentleman who will be remembered by his cheerfulness, his warm smile, his faithfulness, his generous spirit and his respect for all.
Serving as pallbearers were Mike Ables, John Fouche, Matt Hankins, Michael Ables, Trey Fouche and Morgan Hankins.
