Tickets remain available for Oakes fundraiser

Tickets remain available for the Oakes African-American Cultural Center  Support Banquet.
The annual fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. at the L.T. Miller Community Center on Lamar Ave.  
The guest speaker will be Carolyn Younger Laury, office manager for the office of information and process managment at Jackson State University.
This year’s theme is “We Achieve from our Participation in Cultural Activities.”
Tickets for the event are $10, and all proceeds will go toward maintenance and upkeep of the Oakes Cultural Center.
