RICHARD ALLEN OUTLAW
Richard Allen Outlaw, 62, of Silver City, died on July 9, 2011.
Memorial services were held on Saturday at the Silver City Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Ragland officiating.
Mr. Outlaw was born on March 8, 1949 to J.G. “Buddy” an Bessie Bell Outlaw. He was a cattleman, a conservationist and a Master Gardener. He was a singer, songwriter, storyteller and first official Americana Board Stomper. He was also an actor, comedian and director in many productions in and out of state.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.G. “Buddy” and Bessie Bell Outlaw.
Survivors include his sisters, Jimmie O. Domino and Pat O. Roberts (Paul) of Belzoni, Bessie Holeman and Wilma O. Childs (PeeWee) of Silver City; his brothers, Joe Lee Outlaw (Sheila) and Wallace Outlaw (Bonnie) of Silver City; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
ROSIE LEE PILGRIM
Rosie Lee Pilgrim, 71, of Yazoo City, died Thursday at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Vernon M.B. Church with Rev. Steven Dennis officiating. Burial will follow at Garden Memorial Park in Jackson under the direction of Shaffer and Collins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pilgrim was born on March 3, 1940 in Holly Bluff. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her sons, Freddie Pilgrim of Yazoo City and Ezekiel Pilgrim of Jackson; daughter, Rosa Pilgrim of Jackson; and five grandchildren.
