Patterson keeps KDH goingBy JASON PATTERSON

Glenn Patterson planned to spend five years working for King’s Daughters Hospital before he began enjoying the retired life.
That was nearly 14 years ago.
“Five years came and went before I even realized it,” Patterson said. “Working here is sort of like working at home. It’s not like working in a big institution where it’s dog eat dog. It’s a family.”
As maintenance director at KDH, Patterson has his hands full. He also oversees housekeeping and security, but keeping the aging hospital in top shape is the biggest challenge.
