The Yazoo City football team has been very busy this summer playing in 7-on-7 tournaments across the state. They came in second place in the Alcorn State University Tournament on June 18 and second in the Vicksburg River City Shootout. The team has been invited to participate in the Mel Kiper Jr. 7-on-7 Mississippi State Tournament on June 30 where the top two teams get to go to a tournament in Washington D.C.
