On Sundays a group gathers in the courthouse parking lot prepared to brave the summer heat.
On Thursday a group will gather a St. Stephen United Methodist Church to learn more about healthy eating.
The two programs are being led by a pair of local volunteers who felt led to try to improve the health of their community.
Diane Coates is leading the group of runners in a program called Run For Your Life and hopes to have them in shape for a marathon in the future.
Francine Wallace is leading a nutrition program at St. Stephen and hopes to encourage Yazooans to eat healthier and learn more about healthy living. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
