The Yazoo River is expected to crest Monday morning at 39 feet, four days later and six inches lower than previously predicted.
“That half a foot is going to make a big difference in some places,” said Henry Cote, director of the Yazoo Development District. “It’s good news that it’s lower, but the fact that it’s later means it’s going to be that much longer before all of that water moves out.” -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
